“Something Good Can Work” – Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club are a Northern Irish indie rock band from Bangor and Donaghadee, County Down, formed in 2007. The band consists of Sam Halliday (lead guitar, backing vocals), Alex Trimble (vocals, rhythm guitar, beats, synths) and Kevin Baird (bass, backing vocals).
Trimble and Halliday first met while attending Bangor Grammar School; the pair later met Baird while he was flirting with girls who were known to his future bandmates. After an unsuccessful first project under the name Life Without Rory, the boys reformed under the name Two Door Cinema Club without a permanent drummer. The band got it’s name from the local cinema, The Tudor Cinema. The name explains itself, cheeky Irish bastards.
The band has released two albums, one of which (Beacon) reached as high as 17th in US Alternative charts. However, “Something Good Can Work” comes from the bands first album, Tourist History, which never even made it onto US charts.
The song is a nice, energizing tune about going out in the world and making your own successful future.
Let’s make this happen, girl you gonna show the world that something good can work and it can work for you.
And you know that it will.
Sounds good to me!
