Bob Dylan – “Girl from the north country” – 1963
Ah, it’s winter, and I was letting my mind wander through the snow flurries and howling winds that fired across the plains of Minnesota in January, freezing us to the bone. This song from the album “Freewheelin” is the quintessence of winter songs to me, a true girl from the north country. Anyone who lives where it’s winter should have this song in their repertoire for use when crunching along through the snow.
Anyway, this is classic Dylan…real early stuff, and true folk music. Dig it.
